About Us

A group of women that  noticed for years there had been a lack of support and absence of the fundamentals In society. The organizations original vision was going to be celebrating women in all aspects of life – whether that is for graduation, someone newly divorced, or a cancer patient receiving her last chemotherapy treatment.  Then founder, LaTondra Marcy, first hand experienced domestic violence and entered a dark place in life. Through the support of her sisterhood, life was breathed back into her and she now had a new purpose in life. She made it her duty to provide the same support to women and men in the same situation, if she did not her purpose would be in vain.

On January 6, 2012, Women Empowering Women of Michigan, a recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization was founded with the vision to advocate against domestic violence, homelessness, unity and literacy. Since then as an organization we have made a commitment to giving back to our community and being a voice for those that may not have the strength to speak for their selves. The organizations primary service area is the Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb county area. We strive to empower the human race for success.

Our oath: To uplift and empower each other; To respect each other as well as ourselves.
